Many places will be open Monday for the Veterans Day holiday.
But if you want to mail a letter, cash a check or use federal government services, you’ll have to wait a day.

- Most supermarkets will be open along with numerous retail outlets
- The Detroit Zoo is open and is offering free admission to all active and retired military with ID on Monday in observance of Veterans Day.
- Restaurants will be open, including BlackFinn and others, which are offering deals to veterans.

- Join the Royal Oak Memorial Society in honoring Veterans Day at 11 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza located between City Hall and the Royal Oak Public Library.
