The Lord has the Fecundity (the quality or power to producing abundantly; fruitfulness or fertility :) )

Having been to Beaumont Hospital's lovely gift shop just a few days ago and buying a small little Christmas mercury glass dove for my daughter I notice the decorative branches. Real branches painted and glued with color glitter. Thought it would be neat to do with the kids. But I already had trimmed the alley and the yard. Not much to trim left. 

The mighty wind swept through Royal Oak Sunday leaving branches through out the neighborhood. One big one on the front lawn. Better than UPS :).

My Mother would of been 78 today. Yesterday I went for a visit with Theresa to say a prayer for a really good birthday for her and arriving at the cemetery just beyond my parents grave there laid next to a tree still carrying its fiery orange leaves a large branch.

Monday the readings long ago picked for November 18, 2013 carried profound readings. One from the Old Testament told of a King that persecuted the Jews and wanted them to violate their traditions, customs and faith in the living God because the King wanted to control his people in his kingdom to be one and in having combined worship in the sacred Jewish temples mixing the blood of sacrifice and customs as ONE. Not Good. Not good when you take God's Law from His people. Than in the New Testament the reading was Jesus healing the blind. Jesus is the cure. Need the healing of our spiritual blindness. Jesus cures the blind. Monsignor Easton gave a wonderful homily. 

May the very Chaste Jesus (from the very chaste Blessed Mother Mary) give us all light and cure our spiritual blindness. (Readings, 1 MC 1:10-15, 41-43, 54-57, 62-63/Lk 18:35-43)
The Catholic Faith is freeing, a freedom some are missing. Life is to be embraced and loved and lived chaste. If we fall get back up, Jesus raised all up on the cross. ONE needs to ask for Mercy. What a gift the Sacrament of Confession is!

It is the Year of Faith. Come Home!

Jesus is always present in his Church, especially in her liturgical celebrations.  He is present in the Sacrifice of the Mass not only in the person of his minister, 'the same now offering, through the ministry of priests, who formerly offered himself on the cross,' but especially in the Eucharistic species. By his power he is present in the sacraments so that when anyone baptizes it is really Christ himself who baptizes. He is present in his word since it is he himself who speaks when the holy Scriptures are read in the Church. Lastly, he is present when the Church prays and sings, for he has promised 'where two or three are gathered together in my name there I am in the midst of them"  - Catechism of the Catholic Church #1088 (found this in this weeks churches bulletin :) )

The Vine and the Branches. John 15: 1-271“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.2He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.3You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.4Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.5I am the vine, you are the branches.
