Spring Mills Family Fun Night at Century Bowl. Friday, March 28 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Enjoy 2 hours of glow bowling, great music and shoe rental is included. $6.00 per person. A portion of the proceeds will be given back to the Spring Mills PTA.

The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree (A family friendly musical comedy) at Motor City Theatre. When his crew jumps ship upon sighting the pirates in the distance, Captain Jennings is left with a makeshift crew of motley prisoners and Fergus, a sailor who can’t swim, to protect his wealthy (and haughty) passengers.

Secret Lives of Stars at Cranbrook Institute of Science. The specific characteristics of a star will determine what type of life it will lead, how long it might live and even the type of death it will die. We will witness the amazing variety of stars and peer into their secret lives.

Dinosaurs at Dusk at Cranbrook Institute of Science. Travel back in time to meet the pterosaurs and the ancestors of modern-day birds: the feathered dinosaurs. When time runs out, experience first-hand the cataclysmic "last day" of the dinosaurs.

Dynamite Fast Pitch Softball Bowling Fundraiser at Woodhaven Lanes. Saturday, March 28 at 8:30 pm (check in at 8:00 pm) Join the fun with 3 games of bowling, pizza and pop. Plus gift baskets and 50/50 raffles. Help us raise funds for equipment and team uniforms. $20.00 per person (rental shoes included)



Saturday, March 29:


Music of the Jazz Age at Albert L. Lorenzo Cultural Center. John Bowditch, director of exhibits emeritus at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, will explore the wonderfully rich legacy of popular music in America during the 1920s by sharing original recordings made during the decade.

Brownies – Home Scientist Badge Workshop at Michigan Science Center. Be a kitchen chemist, create static electricity, dive into density and participate in other activities in pursuit of the Home Scientist badge. Cost: $15 per scout/$10 per adult. For grades: 2-3.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness Display at Michigan Science Center. Karmanos Cancer Institute’s giant inflatable colon on display for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. See a colon from the inside out, learn about screening for colorectal cancers, find out which foods boost colon health, and speak to colon experts.

Fly away to Neverland with Peter Pan, the Ballet! at Modern Messages Dance Company. Ballerinas from the area join MMDCo's Youth Ballet Theatre sharing the elegance of classical ballet and the joy and laughter that brings families back to MMDCo productions each year. Maple Sugaring at Indian Springs Metropark. March is Maple Sugaring month! With Spring not too far off, the warm days and freezing nights encourage sap flow in maple trees. This is the ideal time to collect the sugary sap and boil it down into maple syrup.



Sunday, March 30:


Local 140 Community Service Committee Bowling Fundraiser at Bowl One Lanes. Sunday, March 30 at 4:30 pm Join the fun with 3 games of 9 Pin No-Tap Bowling, 2 slices of pizza and a small soft drink. Plus there will be 50/50 raffles. Help us raise funds for our Community Service projects. $20.00 per person

Puttin' on the Ritz: Fashion in the Jazz Age at Albert L. Lorenzo Cultural Center. The curators of Fashion and the Automobile describe how fashion in the Roaring ‘20’s was influenced by function, environment, lifestyle, and world events. The show will include fashions from the past and present, as what’s old becomes new again.

Dinosaur Tours at Michigan Natural History Museum. Attention dinosaur fans! Free, 30-minute docent-led tour of the dinosaur exhibits every Saturday and Sunday. Sign up on the day of the tour. Limit: 15 people.

Kidstruction Zone at Michigan Science Center. Build large structures with giant LEGO bricks, create detailed buildings with Keva planks, invent futuristic vehicles with k’nex and get inspired with other Kidstruction building supplies.

Fireside Fun – A Good Old-fashioned Campfire Circle  at Leslie Science and Nature Center. There’s nothing quite as relaxing as sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories. Bring your family, camp chairs, and s'mores fixings. We’ll provide a blazing outdoor campfire and plenty of marshmallows. It's free!
