Calling All Junior Golfers

Optimist Junior Golf qualifier on Saturday May 18th at Royal Oak Golf Club.

The Royal Oak Optimist Club is hosting their annual Junior Golf Qualifying Tournament  on Saturday May 18th.  The event is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 10 - 18 and this will be the 8th consecutive year at Royal Oak Golf Club.

Junior golfers will compete in their respective age groups to shoot a qualifying score in order to move on to the district level tournamnet in late June at The Metamora Colf Club. The top golfers from that event have the chance to move on to the Optimist International Tournamanet in July at The PGA National Course in Florida where they will compete against some the best junior golfers from around the world.

The entry fee for the local qualifier is $45 for boys 12 - 18 yrs old and girls 13 - 18. The 10 - 11 year old boys and 10 -12 year old girls play only 9 holes and the entry fee is $30. Trophies are given to the top qualifiers in each age division.
