Junior Golfer's Wanted
Royal Oak Optimist Junior Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, May 19.
Once again the Royal Oak Optimist Club will be sponsoring it's annual Junior Golf Qualifying Tournament at the Royal Oak Golf Club. This year's event will be on Saturday May 19th with tee times beginning at 12 noon.
The tournament is open to boys and girls from the ages of 10 to 18 and golfers are competing in appropriate age groups with the opportunity to advance to the District Tournament to be held in late June at the Grand Valley State course in Allendale MI.The winners of the district tournament may go on to the Optimist International Tournamant at the PGA National Course in Palm Beach Gardens Fla in late July.
The Royal Oak Optimist Club has proudly sponsored this event for the past 7 years and they award troghies to the low qualifier in each age group. A registration fee of $45 is required - $30 for 10- 11 boys & 10 - 12 girls.
