Salvation Army Toy Luncheon - Friday Dec. 9

Inter-club Council Sponsors annual Toy Luncheon at Salvation Army.

Sponsored by the Inter club Council of Royal Oak, The Salvation Army Holiday Toy Luncheon has been a fixture in our community for over 20 years. This Friday Dec. 9, members of the various service clubs and other organizations will bring new, unwrapped toys in exchange for a catered lunch at the Citidel located on N. Main in Royal Oak.  The guests will be entertained by the famous Salvation Army Band and the afternoon will be complete with a spirited round of Christmas Carrols as one and all join in to celebrate the season.

The toys collected will bring much joy and happiness to local families who would not otherwise be able to provide Christmas presents to the children.  Additionally, the special Red Kettle will be stuffed with cash by the attending guests, which will help the Army provide assistance to those in need all year round.

If you are interested in attending and are not a member of any particular club we will make you Optimist Club members for the day. Or you may already know members of the Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions or Woman’s Club and I am sure they would be happy to take you for the day as well.  There is always a friendly competition among the clubs to see who can have the highest attendance.
