Franklin J. Belton, age 75, a 48-year resident of Berkley, passed away October 16, 2013 at his home. He was born in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. He was predeceased by his late parents Bernard and Mildred Belton. Mr. Belton was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea and during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked for Kennametal in Oak Park and then Duramet in Warren as a tool maker until his retirement in 2000. His hobbies included stamp collecting. He was the beloved husband of Margaret A. (Clinesmith) for 51 years; loving father of Darryl B. (Yvonne) Belton, Bruce A. (Carolyn) Belton and Pamela (Dennis) Mulonas; dear brother of the late Constance Wollen; proud grandfather of Ryan Mulonas, Andrew (Erin) Rohr, Liana (Kory) Bushee, Seth Rohr and Caleb Rohr; and great grandfather of Keagan and Isaiah. Also left behind was his constant companion, Tilly, his English bulldog. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Church of the King in Berkley. Inurnment at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be gifted to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan or Leader Dogs for the Blind. Arrangements by Wm.
