Beloved husband of the late Marie. Dear father of Kenneth, the late Gary and Karen Sue. Loving father-in-law of Mary Rose. He will surely be missed by the love of his life, his little Yorkie, Katy Did. Mr. Rose was born on August 16, 1917 in Eglon, Kentucky to Thomas and Emma Rose. He was a 67 year resident of Royal Oak, where he was an active member of the Church of God. Manley enjoyed reading his Bible and sharing Christian fellowship with his many friends. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1981 he retired from Darin and Armstrong (Oak Park) where he was employed as a general labor foreman. Visitation Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 2-8 pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blks. E. of Woodward), Royal Oak. Funeral Thursday, January 16, 2014, in-state 12 noon until time of service 1 pm at the Royal Oak Church of God, 600 N. Campbell, Royal Oak. Military honors will follow the service at the church. Memorial contributions to the family are appreciated.
