Pat Paruch FOR Prop A: One Royal Oak Releases TV Ad

Today, One Royal Oak released a campaign commercial in support of Proposal A featuring former Royal Oak Mayor Pat Paruch.

On March 4, 2013 the Royal Oak City Commission voted 6-1 to adopt a Human Rights Ordinance that would ban discriminatory practices in employment, housing, and public accommodation on the basis of actual or perceived race, national origin, religion, color, sex, age, height, weight, pregnancy condition, marital status, physical and mental limitations, source of income, family responsibilities, educational association, sexual orientation, gender identity, and HIV status.

On Tuesday, November 5, the voters of Royal Oak will decide whether to uphold the ordinance.

I’m Pat Paruch, former mayor of the City of Royal Oak, and on November 5 I’m going to be voting FOR Proposal A.  Voting for this proposal means that everyone should be treated equally and fairly, and that no one should be fired from their job if they do a good job for unfair reasons.  Cities around us like Pleasant Ridge and Huntington Woods and others in Michigan have had laws on the books like this for a while without any problems.  Join me on November 5 in voting FOR Proposal A.
