David Poulton - out of touch

Royal Oak City Commissioner David Poulton's use of the word "homosexual" in reference to the gay residents of Royal Oak during the October 14th League of Women Voters sponsored forum is derogatory and reflects very poorly on him and our community.  It is a word that is often used by anti-gay politicians and extremists to denigrate gay people. Royal Oak is a diverse community, and we should have elected officials who are more informed and who understand this.
