Letter to the Editor: Meinecke for Judge

Jeanne Sarnacki believes Derek Meinecke has the vision and temperament to be an outstanding judge

The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by Jeanne Sarnacki, a former Royal Oak City Commissioner:

I am supporting Derek Meinecke for Royal Oak judge.  I believe he has the vision and temperament to be an outstanding judge.  Derek has been honored by others who critically look at our legal community and determine who among them lead by example, possess a keen vision of justice and a desire to serve those in need.

From his recent 2011 Oakland County “Courage to Lead Award from SAVE (Serving Adults who are Vulnerable and/or Elderly),  or his 2009 Domestic Violence Prevention Award for which he was nominated by Haven to his service since 2006 as a trustee for the South Oakland Boys and Girls Club, Derek has made it a point to be at the forefront of service to our vulnerable in their time of need.   He has proven himself to be shoulders above so many others.  Derek's accolades not only come from within our community but also from judicial leaders throughout the state - an overwhelming endorsement of his candidacy.

I hope none of  us or our loved ones have a reason to be before a judge but if that day comes, more than likely it will be in Royal Oak’s courtroom.  As a former city commissioner, I have had the honor of working with both candidates in different capacities and my decision is clear:  Derek Meinecke for Royal Oak judge.
