2 Men Charged in Royal Oak With Non-Compliance of Sex Offender Registry

Two men accused of failing to comply with the state's sex offender registry laws were taken into custody this week, police said. 

At 12:26 p.m. Monday, a registered sex offender reported to the police station at 221 E. Third St. to update his status. During the process it was determined the man failed to report changes in his residency status and update his employment record, police said. He was charged for non-compliance.

Two days later at 1:47 p.m., another registered sex offender reported to the police station to update his status and it was determined he failed to report changes in his residency status and update the vehicles registered to him, police said. He was also charged for non-compliance.
