Employee Assaulted at Dowtown Bar, Thefts and More on Police Blotter

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:

Employee assaulted at dowtown bar 

205 W. Fifth (O’Tooles Bar), Mar. 18: Royal Oak Officers observed a subject assault an employee. While arresting the subject for the assault, a handgun was found on his person. The subject had a valid concealed pistol permit and was armed. Due to his level of intoxication, the subject was also charged with possessing a firearm while intoxicated.  

Home invasion

300 block of W. Lincoln, Mar. 17: A man reported someone entered his residence and stole an undisclosed amount of currency, a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and an iPod Touch.

1800 block of Guthrie, Mar. 15: A man reported someone entered his residence and stole an undisclosed amount of currency and two empty wristwatch boxes.  

Tires, catalytic converter stolen

3100 block of Coolidge, Mar. 16: A woman reported someone attempted to steal the catalytic converter off of her Blue 1999 Jeep Cherokee.

5000 block of Coventry, Mar. 15: A woman reported someone stole all four tires and rims off of her Blue 2008 Ford Edge.  

1800 block of W. Farnum, Mar. 19: A man reported someone stole the catalytic converter off of his 2000 Oldsmobile Alero.  

iPhones, wallets, Homeland Security badge and more stolen

3000 block of Evergreen, Mar. 14: A man reported someone stole his bicycle.  

4200 block of Cooper, Mar. 14: A woman reported a relative stole her prescription medication.  

29132 Woodward (Radio Shack), Mar. 14: A man reported an employee stole an iPhone from the business.  

430 S. Main (BD’s Mongolian Barbecue), Mar. 17: A woman reported someone stole her purse at the restaurant. The purse contained two iPhones, a Homeland Security identification and badge, and an undisclosed amount of currency.  

208 W. Fifth (Woody’s), Mar. 17: A woman reported someone stole her wallet while she was at the business.   

30254 Woodward (AT&T Store), Mar. 15: A man reported a subject entered the store and stole two iPhones from a display rack. The suspect fled the store and ran to a Blue Chevy Impala and fled the area. The suspect was described as a male teenager, 5-feet 6-inches to 5-feet 7-inches tall, wearing a gray Nike sweat suit and orange Air-Max 95 athletic shoes.

4800 block of Woodland, Mar. 15: A woman reported someone stole a UPS package from her front porch.  

1403 Lexington (John Lindell Ice Arena), Mar. 19: A man reported someone stole his wallet from the locker room.

208 W. Fifth (Woody’s), Mar. 18: A woman reported someone stole her purse from the second floor of the business.  

Graffiti incidents

514 S. Lafayette (Parking Structure), Mar. 16: A man reported someone spray painted graffiti on the wall.  

200 block of W. Fifth St., Mar. 16: A man reported someone spray painted graffiti on an exterior door.  

500 S. Washington, Mar. 16: A man reported someone spray painted graffiti on the exterior wall of the vacant business.   

300 S. Main (Vision Information Systems), Mar. 15: Royal Oak Officers observed graffiti spray-painted on the fire exit door.  

2442 Rochester, Mar. 15: A man reported someone spray painted graffiti on the wall of the vacant business.  

Malicious damage to vehicles

11 Mile and Main St., Mar. 18: A man reported someone walked up to her vehicle while she was stopped at the traffic light and punched her passenger side window breaking it. The suspect fled the area prior to Royal Oak Officers arrival on the scene. The suspect was described as a male in his 20s, 5-feet 10-inches tall, thin build, wearing a yellow jacket and black jogging pants.  

800 block of N. Kenwood, Mar. 21: A woman reported someone broke out the passenger side window of her vehicle.  

Car stolen

2200 block of N. Campbell, Mar. 21: A man reported someone stole her Blue 2006 Jeep Liberty.
