Employees, Customer Restrained with Duct Tape in Royal Oak Armed Robbery

Suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and about 50 cellphones from RadioShack.

Royal Oak police are looking for three men accused of restraining two employees and a customer during a robbery Wednesday evening at the RadioShack, 29160 Woodward Ave.

The three men, one of them armed with a handgun, moved them into a storage room, placed duct tape over their eyes and taped their hands behind their backs, police said in a news release.

Police said the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money and about 50 cell phones before fleeing. An employee called 9:11 at 6:33 p.m.

The employee described the suspects as three black males wearing baseball caps, hoodies, and nylons over their faces. 

A Troy Police Department K-9 officer responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. The track led to the area of Benjamin and Woodward mwhere it is believed they entered a vehicle and left the area.
