Heroin Bust at Seville Motel and More on Police Blotter

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:

Heroin bust at Seville Motel

28300 Woodward (Seville Motel), Aug. 20: Royal Oak officers conducted a motel check and located a man with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. While arresting the man, the officers found him to be in possession of heroin and marijuana.

Home invasion

4100 block of Amherst, Aug. 16: Someone entered the residence through an unlocked rear window and took a 55-inch Samsung television, 32-inch Panasonic television, X-Box 360 game system, PlayStation 3 game system, miscellaneous video games, Toshiba laptop computer, miscellaneous jewelry, Kindle Fire, Canon Rebel camera and a Macintosh desktop computer.

500 block of S. Stephenson, Aug. 20: A man reported someone entered his residence through an unlocked door and stole a Dell laptop computer, an Acer laptop computer and an undisclosed amount of currency. 

Couch cushions, bikes, tools and more taken

100 block of W. Fourth Street (MMM PIDC), Aug. 19: The business reported someone entered the business through an unlocked roof access door and stole couch cushions and pillows from the business.

2400 block of Elmhurst, Aug. 20: A man reported someone entered his unlocked detached garage and stole two silver Trek City Cruiser Mountain Bikes. 

1600 block of Catalpa, Aug. 20: A woman reported someone entered her unlocked detached garage and stole a red Trek Fuel mountain bike. 

800 block of Lloyd, Aug. 20: A man reported someone entered his garage and stole a Dewalt 18-volt hammer drill, Milwaukee electric sawsall, two Jonsered chainsaws, Dewalt 18 volt sawsall, Kawasaki leaf blower, Honda portable generator, and a white Men’s Electra Townie bicycle. The suspect entered the garage by using the garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle.

Car stolen 

30807 Woodward (McDonalds), Aug. 18: A man reported someone stole his black 2006 GSXR 1000 motorcycle.

Larceny from Automobile 

3200 block of N. Main, Aug. 15: A woman reported someone stole miscellaneous paperwork from her unlocked vehicle.

1400 block of Hoffman, Aug. 15: A woman reported someone attempted to steal her gold 2004 Lincoln. The suspect stole a portable GPS system, CDs and prescription drugs.

30807 Woodward (McDonald’s), Aug. 17: A man reported someone stole the license plate from his Suzuki motorcycle.

4900 block of Leafdale, Aug. 17: A man reported someone stripped the interior of her 1991 Impulse motor home.

Purse, package taken

Woodward and Glenwood, Aug. 16: A woman reported someone stole her unattended purse.

1825 N. Main (Luna Bar), Aug. 19: A man reported someone stole his red/black Novara mountain bike. The bicycle was locked to a pole in the parking lot.

2600 block of Trafford, Aug. 21: A man reported someone stole a package delivered to her residence. 

Acts of vandalism

500 block of Woodside, Aug. 18: A woman reported someone keyed her vehicle and cracked the windshield.

32286 Woodward (Golden Basket), Aug. 17: A man reported someone keyed his vehicle and damaged a tent.

100 Block of S. Laurel, Aug. 22: A woman reported someone threw a landscaping brick at the windshield of her vehicle.

3500 block of Ravena, Aug. 21: A woman reported someone damaged a section of landscaping adjacent to her driveway.
