Man Charged with Exposing Himself in Royal Oak, Troy

Brian Patrick Jones, 24 of Mt. Clemens, faces a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

A 24-year-old Mt. Clemens man has been arrested and charged with exposing himself to children and adults last month in Royal Oak and Troy.

Brian Patrick Jones is charged with one count of indecent exposure, which is punishable by 93 days in jail. A pre-trial hearing is set for Aug. 13 in Troy’s 52-4 District Court.

“After a lengthy investigation and follow-up, Troy Police Investigators developed Jones as a suspect in the incidents and Jones subsequently made admissions in the incidents,” Troy police said in a press release issued Sunday.

According to police, the first two incidents occurred May 4. A woman jogging near Robinwood Park in Troy reported that a man exposed himself to her. Shortly after, two 12-year-old girls reported the same thing happened to them near Anvil and Forge.

Three days later, a woman jogging on Bellaire Street in Royal Park said a man followed and flashed her. Less than two hours later, a woman walking near Burtman and Wacon in Troy reported a similar incident.

Working with the women and the teens, police were able to develop a composite sketch, which was distributed to media outlets in hopes of catching the man.
