Motel Check Uncovers Sex Offender and More

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:
Motel check uncovers sex offender
30770 Woodward (Sagamore Motel), July 14: Officers conducting a guest registry check at the motel discovered a subject with a felony warrant for his arrest from another jurisdiction. Additionally, the subject was a sex offender and failed to change his address and register his employers address. Both are felony charges.
20393 Woodward (Seville Motel), July 15: Officers conducting a guest registry check at the motel discovered a subject with several warrants for his arrest including an aggravated assault warrant from another jurisdiction.

Breaking and entering
4506 Fernlee (Priority Lawn Care), July 15: A man reported someone broke into business and stole various landscaping equipment.
29582 Woodward (Patriot Fireworks), July 16: A man reported someone broke into his sales trailer and stole a large amount of fireworks and an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident occurred over the Fourth of July holiday weekend but the the man waited to make a report.

Women report attempted break-ins
300 block of E. Farnum, July 17: A woman reported someone pushed open the unlocked patio door. The person did not take anything and was possibly scared off by her dog.
1000 block of Amelia, July 17: A woman reported someone pushed open the screen to her window of her home but did not make entry.
1000 block of S. Campbell, July 16: A woman reported someone broke into her vacant house. Nothing appeared to be stolen.
Items taken from vehicles
3601 W. 13 Mile (William Beaumont Hospital), July 14: A man reported someone stole his garage opener from his vehicle when he parked with the valet service.
4800 block of Woodland, July 15: A woman reported someone stole her Garmin GPS and iPod from her unlocked vehicle.
121 N. Main (Kouzina Restaurant), July 16: A man reported someone stole his iPhone from his unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of the restaurant.
Sneakers, bike, hydrangea missing
Washington and Lincoln, July 11: A man reported someone stole his black and red Huffy mountain bike that was locked to a parking meter.
4200 Rochester (Regency Apts.), July 12: A man reported someone stole a pair of tennis shoes from outside his apartment. Additionally, two other tenants reported their bicycles stolen.
2009 Crooks (Duffield Dentistry), 7: Duffield Dentistry reported someone stole a large hydrangea plant from the rear of the business.
Acts of vandalism
400 block of Amelia, July 14: A man reported someone punctured his front tire to his parked vehicle.
1000 block of Park, July 17: A woman reported someone spray painted graffiti on her parked vehicle.
700 block of Lloyd, July 17: A woman reported someone broke her driver’s side mirror on her parked vehicle.
Cars stolen
700 block of Lincoln, July 15: A woman reported someone attempted to steal her 2005 Dodge Durango. The steering column and ignition was heavily damaged.
500 block of E. Fifth, July 15: A man reported someone attempted to steal his 2006 Jeep Cherokee. The ignition was heavily damaged.
300 block of S. Connecticut, July 15: A man reported someone stole his green 2004 Chrysler Sebring.
