Police Blotter: Thieves Target Homes, Vehicles

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:

Home invasion

3300 block of W. 14 Mile, Feb. 9: A woman reported an acquaintance broke into her residence and stole a 51-inch Samsung television.

3400 block of W. 14 Mile, Feb. 13: A woman reported someone entered her residence and stole miscellaneous jewelry, 47-inch Olivia LCD TV, 47-inch Vizio LCD TV, 61-inch Samsung TV, HP laptop computer, Asus laptop computer, and a X-Box game system.

2000 block of N. Main, Feb. 13: A man reported his ex-girlfriend broke into his apartment and damaged his property.

iPhone stolen at bar

526 S. Main (Tequila Blue), Feb. 9: A woman reported someone stole her iPhone while she was at the bar.

Car stolen

1800 block of Rochester, Feb. 8: A woman reported someone stole her Red 2006 Dodge Charger.

Items taken from cars

2200 block of Baxter, Feb. 11: A woman reported someone stole the license plate off of her vehicle.

3800 block of Devon, Feb. 12: A woman reported someone stole the catalytic converter off of her vehicle.

Tires slashed, graffiti

1300 block of Englewood, Feb. 10: A mab reported someone slashed all four tires on his vehicle.

27880 Woodward (Trader Joe’s), Feb. 8: A man reported someone scratched the passenger side of his vehicle. 

Intersection of Dallas & Stephenson, Feb. 11: Someone spray painted graffiti on a telephone equipment box.

Intersection of 10 Mile & Helens, Feb. 11: Someone spray painted graffiti on a county road sign.

Other incidents

225 S. Main (PNC Bank), Feb. 8: Royal Oak Officers responded to the bank to investigate a person attempting to cash a fraudulent check. The person and two other individuals involved were arrested for uttering and publishing.
