Police Blotter: Angel Nails Robbed, Man Exposes Himself

Thefts dominate reports to the Royal Oak Police Department the week of July 15-21:

Angel Nails robbed

32858 Woodward, July 17: The complainant reported that someone broke out the rear door window, entered the business and stole the cash register, salon chairs and other items.

700 block of Englewood, June 15: Someone entered an unlocked garage and stole two shotguns and an air compressor

Man exposes himself

Washington & Houstonia, July 15: A woman reported that while she was jogging a male standing in the bushes pulled down his shorts and exposed himself. She shouted at the man and he fled.

Homes invaded

300 block of E. 11 Mile, June 28: Someone entered an apartment and stole a television, copy machine and some wine.

2400 block of Clawson, July 5: A woman reported that while on vacation, someone entered her home and stole her jewelry.

Vehicle stolen

Farmers Market, 316 E. 11 Mile Rd., July 16: A man reported someone stole his silver 2003 Chevy Impala.

Items stolen from vehicles

LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, July 15: A man reported that someone smashed his driver’s side window with a rock and stole his wallet out of the
console.

26862 Woodward, July 19: A woman reported that someone smashed her passenger’s side window and stole her lunch bag out of the vehicle.

1900 block of Parmenter, July 19: A man reported that someone opened the driver’s side door of his parked vehicle and stole his wallet and U.S. Green Card.

American Cycle and Fitness, 29764 Woodward, July 20: A man reported that someone stole his backpack from his vehicle containing his laptop computer and other items.

Starr-Jaycee Park, 13 Mile/Marais, July 20: A woman reported someone broke the rear window to her parked vehicle and stole her purse. She observed a suspicious red Cadillac in the area.

More thefts

1500 block of Cherokee, July 15: A man reported that someone broke his glass patio table and umbrella.

Lyons Eye Care, 817 N. Main, July 19: A man reported that a male entered his business and stole two pairs of designer sunglasses. Officers arrived and found the suspect hiding behind a vehicle nearby and arrested him.

Pink Pump, 309 S. Main, July 20: A woman reported that a female entered her business and stole $25 worth of cosmetics. Officers arrived and the woman was still inside the store and was arrested.
