Police Blotter: Larceny, Driving Away in an Automobile, Malicious Destruction of Property and 35 Arrests

The following information was supplied by the Royal Oak Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Royal Oak Police Department has released the following report of activities from April 24-May 1:

Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile

2400 block of N. Vermont, 4-25-14 – 4-27-14, 7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her 2002 Dodge Stratus in front of her residence. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered an unknown suspect damaged the driver’s side door lock, entered the vehicle and damaged the ignition while attempting to steal it. 14-13111

Larceny from Automobile

2020 N. Bellaire (O’Sullivan’s Moving Co.), 4-30-14 – 5-1-14, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported a moving truck was parked in the rear of the business and an unknown suspect stole the license plate from the truck. 14-13482

Larceny

529 Hendrie (First Presbyterian Church), 4-27-14, 10:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.: Complainant reported a Dell laptop computer was left unattended on a table in the Fellowship Hall during church services. When staff returned to they discovered an unknown suspect stole the computer. 

800 block of S. Wilson, 4-25-14, 7:30 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.: Complainant reported a UPS package was delivered to his front porch. The package was stolen by an unknown suspect.

1500 block of Huron, 4-10-14 – 4-28-14, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: Complainant reported while doing yard work he noticed the access panel was removed from his air conditioning unit. Further inspection revealed an unknown suspect had cut the copper lines leading to his home.  Complainant reported he observed a suspicious gray work van parked in his neighbor’s driveway approximately three (3) weeks prior and believes it may be involved. 

Malicious Destruction of Property

517 S. Washington (Bra-Vo Intimates), 4-29-14, 10:15 a.m. - 1:50 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle in front of the business. When she returned she discovered the rear windshield of her vehicle was shattered. 

Other Incidents

29806 Woodward (Palms Motel), 4-28-14, 1:08 a.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject staying at motel with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested without incident.

Alcohol, Minor in Possession of Tobacco

One (1) Operating Under the Influence of Drugs, Driving While License Suspended

Four (4) Operating While Intoxicated

One (1) Operating While Intoxicated II

One (1) Operating While Intoxicated, Driving While License Suspended

Three (3) Driving While License Suspended

Five (5) Driving While License Suspended, Misdemeanor Warrant

One (1) Driving While License Suspended, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Misdemeanor

Warrants

One (1) No Operators License On Person

One (1) Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest, Felony Warrant

One (1) Possession of Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle, Misdemeanor Warrant

One (1) Disorderly Conduct
