Was This Car Used in Royal Oak Break-In?

Royal Oak police are looking for a man that they believe may have broke into a vehicle in a parking lot at the L.A. Fitness located at 25352 Woodward Ave.

On Friday, Jan 10, a woman reported to police she parked her vehicle in the covered parking area of the lot. When she returned, she discovered someone broke out the driver side rear window and stole her purse, prescription medication and a jacket.

Officers reviewed the surveillance video of the parking area and captured a man on video near the woman's vehicle. He was observed leaving the area in a 1992 to 1997 dark colored Ford Crown Victoria, according to the police report.

Police describe the suspect as a heavy set black man with a dark complexion, 6-feet tall, 200 pounds and wearing a blue sweatshirt, black sweat pants and a green winter coat.
