Overnight Guest Steals TV, X-Box


3300 block of Greenfield, Nov. 20, 1:45 p.m. – 3 p.m.: A woman reported she met a man online and invited him to spend the night. The woman left for an appointment the next day. When she returned, she discovered the man stole her 19-inch Samsung television and an X-Box game system.

32000 block of Woodward (Gupta E.N.T. Center), Nov. 16, 4 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.: A man reported someone removed the hinges from an office door and stole a black Sony laptop computer.  

1000 block of Vinsetta, Nov. 15 - Nov. 16, 6 p.m. – 6 a.m.: Complainant reported someone broke into the residence, stole a Ridged nail gun, a Dewalt sawzall and broke three windows. The residence is currently under construction.

32778 Woodward (Dry Clean Depot), Nov. 14 – 15, 8 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.: The business reported someone attempted to break in through a window located in the rear of the building. The person was unable to gain access to the business.  

 

Business sign, prescription drugs and more stolen

 

1847 N. Main (Trio Art Gallery), Nov. 15 –16, 10 p.m. – 9 a.m.: A woman reported someone stole her business sign and sprayed green paint on several sculptures located in the rear of the business.  

3400 block of Crooks, Nov. 14 – Nov. 15, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.: A woman reported she locked her purple women’s Schwinn bicycle and her cream colored women’s bicycle in her assigned car port parking space. On Nov. 15 she discovered someone cut the lock and stole the bicycles.   

3200 block of Garden Nov. 16 - Nov. 20, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.: A woman reported an acquaintance of her son stole prescription medication from her bedroom while he was at the residence visiting.

 

Thieves target unsecured items


1500 Lexington (Royal Oak High School), Nov. 13, 3:08 p.m. – 3:10 p.m.: A man reported someone stole his blue Boulder mountain bike. The man placed his bicycle in a bike rack but did not lock it. A review of the school security recording revealed a white male, 14-16 years old, brown hair, wearing a dark winter parka with a gray lining, jeans and blue/gray athletic shoes. The suspect also had a laced type backpack.  

1200 S. Washington (Royal Oak Family Dentistry), Nov. 14, 7:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.: A woman reported someone stole her wallet from her purse. The purse was in an unsecured employee locker.  

5055 Delemere (Oakland Technical Center), Nov. 14, 2:15 p.m.: A man reported someone stole his cell phone. He left his phone unattended in a classroom.  

208 W. Fifth Street (Woody’s Diner), Nov. 14, 12 a.m. – 1:20 a.m.: A woman reported someone stole her coat, keys, wallet, cell phone and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The woman left her property unsecured while she attended a Salsa class.  

 
iPhone, license plate stolen from cars

  

200 N. Main (Emagine Theater), Nov. 15, 12:20 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.: A woman reported she parked her black 2012 Jeep Liberty on the lower level of the parking deck. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered someone had broke out the passenger side window and stole her iPhone and iPod touch. 

1611 E. 11 Mile (Taco Bell), Nov. 20, 10:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.: A man reported someone stole the license plate from his 2003 Ford Taurus.

 

Acts of vandalism


300 block of Hawthorn, Nov. 17 –18, 4 p.m. – 8:45 a.m.: Complainant reported someone threw a brick at the garage door and broke a window.

5150 Coolidge (Meijer Department Store), Nov. 17, 4 p.m. – 10:50 p.m.: A woman reported someone damaged the driver’s side and passenger side mirrors of her vehicle.

200 block of Virginia, Nov. 13 – 14, 3 p.m. – 10 a.m.: Complainant reported someone damaged the brick wall on the northeast side of the apartment complex.
