Police Blotter: Gun Malfunctions at Target Sports

Gun malfunctions at Target Sports

30482 Woodward (Target Sports), Feb. 27: An employee was assisting a customer with a handgun that malfunctioned. While the employee was unloading the weapon it discharged. The bullet grazed his abdomen causing a minor superficial injury. 

Home invasion

400 block of W. 13 Mile, Feb. 27: A woman reported someone broke into her home through the front door. The suspect did not take any property.

Shoulder bag, iPhone and more stolen

1700 block of W. 13 Mile, Feb. 23: A man reported someone stole his shoulder bag containing an undisclosed amount of currency, bus tickets, and miscellaneous paperwork.

400 block of Parkdale, Feb. 21: A woman reported someone stole her iPhone.

202 Sherman (Transit Center), Feb. 26: A man reported someone stole his cell phone, miscellaneous medication, and his bus pass.

Car stolen

26000 block of Woodward, Feb. 26: A woman reported someone stole her Silver 2000 Dodge Neon.

Malicious damage to property

400 block of S. Washington, Feb. 24: Someone punched a window and broke the glass. 

Other incidents

29132 Woodward (Radio Shack), Feb. 28:  Someone attempted to break into the business through the rear entrance.
