Police Seek Help in Finding Possible Stranger Danger Suspect

Four police reports filed over the past week involve a man exposing himself and making lewd comments to women while driving in his red SUV.

Troy Police issued a "stranger danger" alert on Wednesday in response to four police reports filed since May 4 of a man following women in his car, exposing himself, and making lewd comments.

The incidents, three of which occurred in Troy and one in Royal Oak, each took place in the afternoon, mostly involving women who were exercising at the time:

  • A 32-year-old woman was approached while jogging in the area of Robinwood Park in Troy between 12 noon and 1 p.m. on May 4.
  • Later that day, two 12-year-old girls were approached in the area of Anvil and Forge in Troy, at 1:40 p.m.
  • An adult woman whose age was not disclosed was approached while jogging in the area of Bellaire Street in Troy at 5:53 p.m. on May 7.
  • Later that night, a 36-year-old woman was approached while walking at Burtman and Wacon in Troy at about 7 p.m.

The man is described as about 30-years-old (police said that some witnesses described him between 18 to 35-years-old and others 35 to 40-years-old); with short, dark hair; scruffy looking; and spoke with a slight accent. He has been seen wearing a navy baseball cap and red shirt.

His car is described as a red SUV, possible a Chevrolet two-door S-10 Blazer with a spare time mounted on its tailgate.
