Police Seek Suspects in Purse-Grab Robbery of Woman

A woman was robbed of her purse at a bus stop near Meijer, according to Royal Oak Police.

A woman had her purse snatched away from her near the Meijer store in Royal Oak early Tuesday morning, according to Royal Oak Police.

The woman reported she was walking to the bus stop near Meijer when she observed two men walking towards her from the northeast portion of the parking lot. One of the men grabbed her purse and ripped it from her hands, police said. 

Both men then fled the area on foot southeast through the parking lot. The woman was not injured in the robbery and no weapons were involved.

Royal Oak officers searched the area but did not locate the suspects, police said.

Police say one of the men was described as a black, 18-20 years old, 5-feet 7-inches, 140 pounds, clean shaven and wearing a dark sweatshirt. The other man was described as a black, 18-20 years old, 5-feet 9-inches, 150 pounds, wearing a dark hoodie and a dark jacket with “Michigan” in white letters on the back.
