A woman who was driving the struck vehicle followed the man through the neighborhood until the run-away driver lost control of his vehicle and went across a lawn at Linwood and Woodland and crashed into a small tree, according to Royal Oak Police.

The at-fault driver told police he ran because he did not have insurance and was scared. He was arrested for failing to stop and identify at the scene of an accident.
