Royal Oak Man Killed in 1-Car Crash

Police don't believe alcohol was a factor in the Friday morning accident.

A 55-year-old Royal Oak man died Friday morning after crashing into a tree on Fourth Street near Blair, police said today.

Police say the man was traveling westbound on Fourth Street at about 7:45 a.m. when his gold Toyota Camry steered off the roadway and struck the tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. 

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident, police say, and officers continue to investigate the incident.
