Smashed: Champagne Bottle, Liquor Bottle Used to Break Windshields
Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week.
Tools stolen from truck bed
600 block of Woodlawn, Feb. 4 – Feb. 5, 11 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.: A man parked his vehicle on the street near his residence. When he returned to his truck he discovered someone stole miscellaneous tools from the truck’s bed.
Handyman walks off with jewelry
300 block of E. Lawrence, 12:22 p.m. – 2:22 p.m.: A woman reported she hired a contractor to perform work at her residence. When the job was completed she discovered a jewelry box containing miscellaneous jewelry was stolen from the residence.
Champagne bottle, liquor bottle smash windshields
Normandy and Delemere (CN Railway Overpass), Jan. 30, 2:07 p.m.: A Royal Oak officer observed graffiti spray painted on the CN Railway overpass walls.

1600 block of W. Farnum, Jan. 31 – Feb. 1, noon – 8 a.m.: A man parked his vehicle on a street near his residence. When he returned to his vehicle he discovered someone broke the windshield with a liquor bottle.
1600 block of W. Farnum, Jan. 31 – Feb. 1, 9:45 p.m. – 8 a.m.: A woman parked her vehicle in the driveway of her residence. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered someone broke the rear windshield with a champagne bottle.

1700 block of Gardenia, Feb. 1, 7:42 a.m.: A man reported he heard someone banging on his apartment door. When he went to the door he discovered someone had kicked the door to his apartment several times causing significant damage.
110 S. Main (Leo’s Coney Island), Feb. 6, 2 a.m. – 3:47 a.m.: A man parked his vehicle in the parking lot in the rear of the business. When he returned he discovered someone damaged the passenger side window.
