Thief Snatches Purse from Woman Sitting in Car, Handgun Stolen and More

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:

Thief snatches purse from woman sitting in car

805 S. Campbell (Fresh Approach), Oct. 4: A woman reported someone stole a purse from her while she was sitting in her vehicle. The suspect ran to a dark two-door vehicle, possibly a 1990s Chevrolet Monte Carlo and fled southbound on Campbell. The suspect was described as a white female in her 50s with brown hair. 

 
Bike stolen 

700 block of Bauman, Oct. 6: A man reported someone broke into his detached garage and stole a gold Diamondback bicycle.

Handgun and more stolen

800 block of Forest, Oct. 7: A man reported someone stole his handgun.

526 S. Main (Tequila Blue), Oct. 6: A woman reported a co-worker stole her cell phone. The subject was arrested and charged with larceny in a building.

28992 Woodward (BP Gas Station), Oct. 7: A man reported someone stole his unsecured Schwinn bicycle.

1300 block of S. Washington, Oct. 9: A woman reported someone stole a UPS package from her front porch.

  

Car stolen

29300 block of Woodward, Oct. 4: A man reported someone stole his green 1996 Buick Century.

 

ID and bankcards stolen from unlocked car

4400 block of Coolidge, Oct. 7: A woman reported someone broke into her gray 2012 Jeep and stole the in-dash navigation system. 

800 block of Fernwood, Oct. 8: A man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his identification and bankcards.

Acts of vandalism

Second Street and Center (Parking Lot), Oct. 7: A woman reported someone keyed her vehicle. 

316 E. 11 Mile (Farmers Market), Oct. 8: The farmers market reported someone damaged the east entrance door lock.
