Thieves Target Large Appliances, Diamond Ring Missing

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:
Thieves target stove, refrigerator, furnace
1000 block of S. Campbell, Aug. 26: Someone broke into the residence through the side door. Nothing was taken.
1100 block of Wyandotte, Aug. 26: Someone entered the residence and stole a stove and refrigerator. The residence is currently under construction.

100 block of Houstonia, Aug. 26: Someone entered the vacant residence through a rear window and stole a furnace, copper piping and an air conditioning condenser.
Diamond ring taken from car
600 block of Fairgrove, Aug. 23: A man reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole a backpack containing a diamond ring, sunglasses, Cobra radar detector, Blackberry Playbook tablet and iPhone.

2900 block of N. Vermont, Aug. 28: A man reported someone broke into his unlocked vehicle and stole a cellphone, cellphone charger and pager.
Golf clubs and more missing
1200 block of E. Fourth Street, Aug. 26: A man reported he was placing a set of golf clubs near his vehicle in front of his residence and went back inside his home. When he returned someone stole his golf clubs.
Main and W. Lasalle, Aug. 26: A man reported someone siphoned approximately 50 gallons of diesel fuel from a portable fuel tank and a construction vehicle.
25800 block of Woodward, Aug. 25: Someone took a UPS package delivered to the residence.
25352 Woodward (L.A.Fitness), Aug. 23: A man reported someone stole his iPhone from inside his extra pair shoes as he was working out.
Acts of vandalism
2000 block of Glenwood, Aug. 24: Some keyed a driver’s side door and broke off the side view mirror.
4000 block of W. 13 Mile, Aug. 28: A man reported someone broke his windshield and flattened all four tires to his vehicle.
Motel guest arrested
30776 Woodward (Sagamore Motel), Aug. 25: Royal Oak officers conducted a motel check and arrested a subject for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
