Thieves Target Unlocked Vehicles in Royal Oak

Highlights from Royal Oak Police Department reports from the past week:

Breaking and entering

4300 block of Samoset, July 5: A man reported someone stole a Toro snow thrower and a Toro lawn mower from his unlocked detached garage.

32410 Woodward (Hermz), July 10: The business reported someone pried open the rear door of the business and stole an undisclosed amount of currency and miscellaneous dresses.

Items taken from unlocked vehicles

4800 block of Woodland, July 8: A man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his wallet. 

300 block of N. Kenwood, July 10: A man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole two toolboxes containing miscellaneous tools.

2500 block of N. Connecticut, July 7: A man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a portable GPS unit.

2800 block of N. Connecticut, July 7: A woman reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle looking for items to steal. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

4800 block of Woodland, July 8: A man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole an Acer laptop computer and an EVO HD camcorder.

2400 block of N. Wilson, July 8: A man reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole loose change, two cell phone chargers and miscellaneous paperwork.

Hub caps, license plates and more reported stolen

4900 block of Coolidge, July 8: A woman reported someone stole the catalytic converter from her Red 2004 Chevy Venture.

Sixth Street and Main Street, July 7: A woman reported someone stole all four hubcaps from her Black 2010 Ford Fusion.

3900 block of Amherst, July 4: A woman reported someone stole the license plate from her Red 2014 Mini Cooper.

4800 block of Woodland, July 8: A man reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole miscellaneous paperwork.

4900 block of Woodland, July 8: A man reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole a set of Monster DNA headphones and miscellaneous paperwork.

600 block of S. Connecticut, July 9: A woman reported someone stole the hubcaps from the driver’s side of her 2011 Ford Fusion.

 

Doorbell and more stolen

600 block of Williams, July 7: A wireless doorbell was reported from the building.

1414 N. Campbell (Epic Heating and Cooling), July 6: Two air conditioning condensers, a cooling coil and scrap copper were reported stolen from the rear yard of the business.

2100 block of N. Wilson, July 5: A man reported a family member stole miscellaneous jewelry from her residence.

 

Men swipe iPhone over rail of outdoor café

530 S. Main (BlackFinn), July 5: A man reported two males reached over the rail of the outdoor seating area and stole her iPhone off the table where she was seated.

One of the men was described as a black with a dark complexion, 17- 25 years old, 5-feet 8-inches – 5-feet 10-inches, medium build with short braided hair. He was wearing an oversized white T-shirt, dark shorts and white athletic shoes.

The other man was described as a black with a light complexion, 17-25 years-old, 5-feet 8-inches – 5-feet 10-inches, medium build with short hair. He was wearing an oversized white t-shirt, light colored shorts and white athletic shoes.

500 block of E. Ninth Street, July 11: A man reported someone stole his Purple BMX bicycle from his yard.

3601 W. Thirteen Mile (William Beaumont Hospital), July 10: A gift card was reported stolen from the mailroom.

25352 Woodward (L.A. Fitness), July 9: A man reported someone stole a black gym bag containing a Citizens wristwatch, gold necklace and miscellaneous clothing from his locker.

 

Acts of vandalism 

3000 block of W. 13 Mile, July 5: A man reported someone wrote graffiti on his door with a marker.
