5 Things to Know this Week

Royal Oak has a City Commission meeting, movie premiere and more going on around town.

There's always a lot going on in Royal Oak. Here are some highlights this week:

1. City Commission meets Monday: The commission meeting at starts at 7:30 p.m.  See agenda attached.

2. Food Matters on Thursday: Royal Oak-based Regeneration Raw will host a screening at the  of the documentary , followed by a Q&A with David Wolfe, one of the film's stars and an authority on raw foods. The event starts at 7:30 p.m.

3. on Friday: From first-time writer/director David Robert Mitchell, a Clawson native, is a coming-of-age drama about four young people on the last night of summer. The film was shot in Metro Detroit and stars several Royal Oak actors. The film starts Friday at the Main Art Theatre. Click here for show times.

 4. Final show of The Tempest on Sunday: The Water Works Theatre Company presents Thursday through Sunday at . Your last chance to experience Shakespeare’s mystical comedy is Tickets are $20.
