There's always a lot going on in Royal Oak. Here are some highlights this week:

3. Downtown Development Authority Meeting on Wednesday: The DDA meeting at starts at 4 p.m. Click here for agenda.

4. Ladies Night Out on Thursday: Ladies get a 25 percent off coupon for a single item at 40 participating shops in downtown Royal Oak. Participants have a chance to be entered into a drawing for a makeover package. The free event is from 6-10 p.m. and is free. Go to the Royal Oak Association of Retailers website to print the coupon and a map a list of participating retailers.

5. Michigan Craft Beer Stroll Benefit on Saturday: Participating Royal Oak restaurants will offer food samples from noon-5 p.m. Saturday while featuring some of the top breweries in Michigan. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the . The event is presented by Royal Oak Restaurant Association. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 on the day of the event. All strollers are required to bring a valid ID and start at one of the event check-in tents, located at Third and Main or Fifth and Washington, to get their lanyards and wristbands.
