5 Things to Know This Week: School Board Meets, Jingle Bell Jazz and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. What do you have planned?

It's a busy week in Royal Oak, as usual. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week:

  1. Planning Commission meets Tuesday: The Planning Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  2. Winter Choral Concert on Wednesday and Friday: The Royal Oak High Schooll Vocal Music Department is proud to announce two performances of their "2012 Winter Choral Concert".  Performances will be held at the Royal Oak High School auditorium on Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5 for students; contact Deborah Buffa at 248-435-8500 ext 1019 or email buffad@royaloakschools.com for reserved tickets.
  3. Zoning Board of Appeals meets Thursday: The Zoning Board meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
  4. Jingle Bell Jazz on Thursday: The Royal Oak High School Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble will be joined by the Royal Oak Middle School Jazz Band to present "Jingle Bell Jazz" from 6-9 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers Market.  Tickets are $10/adults and $6 for seniors/children (12 & under). Ticket price includes a buffet dinner and outstanding jazz music!  There will also be a silent auction and tin can raffle.  
  5. Board of Education meets Thursday: The school board meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the board offices.
