City Commission Candidates Tackle Questions at Forum

Royal Oak hopefuls gather Thursday evening for a forum hosted by Royal Oak Patch.

Candidates for Royal Oak City Commission arrived early Thursday to get their microphones in place for the Royal Oak Patch Candidate Forum to be broadcast on the Community Media Network (CMNtv) early next week.

Five of the seven candidates for the 4-year term position participated. i, , , and joined moderator Frank Versagi, a political and civic commentator and for a lively discussion that covered a variety of topics, including snow removal, public safety, bistros and privatizing city services.

The questions for the candidates were contributed by Patch readers via Facebook and email. More than a dozen questions were answered over the course of one hour.
