James Taylor Headlines Obama Campaign’s Office in Royal Oak

Music legend and five-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter will perform for grassroots supporters Sunday.

Seizing on the momentum of a national convention, grassroots Obama supporters will be fanning out all across Michigan this weekend to register new voters and enlist new volunteers for the final two months of the campaign.

The action will take a brief pause Sunday afternoon, however, when music legend James Taylor, fresh off his performance at the Democratic National Convention in his home state of North Carolina, will perform at the campaign’s Royal Oak Grassroots Headquarters.

After the performance, volunteers will get right back to work, canvassing their neighborhoods to continue building the largest grassroots campaign in Michigan history.
