Royal Oak Police Looking for 2 Men Wanted in Armed Robbery

The men were in and out of Wilson's Market in two minutes, according to police.

Royal Oak police are asking for the public's help finding two men wanted in connection with a March 4 armed robbery.

The men entered Wilson’s Market, 901 E. 11 Mile Road, at approximately 9:10 p.m. Tuesday and immediately ordered the employees and a customer to the ground. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspects fled the area immediately, according to police.

There were no shots fired and no one was hurt during this robbery. The customer left the store prior to police arrival and was not identified, according to police.

The suspects are described as dark-skinned black males with thin builds, approximately 5-feet-10 to 6-feet tall, wearing dark clothing, ski masks and gloves. One of the men was armed with a dark colored revolver, according to police.

The incident is actively being investigated and anyone with information regarding this incident should call the Royal Oak Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 248-246-3456 and reference report #14-7153.

Also, I don't care about being PC. Had I been in that store...or any other responsible gun-carrying citizen, those guys would be dead and unable to frighten and rob decent people ever again. Same goes for catching someone "invading" my home. Bullet to the head. Buh bye.

Sure Laura...We need to return to the Wild Wild West where everyone carries a gun and is a quick reflexed expert shot when under pressure. Of course, the perps would never fire back at you either in that fantasy world By the way, there was gun control way back in the 1800's too (for good reason). When you entered Dodge City or similar places you had to surrender your firearm to the Marshall / Sheriff. Guns don't kill people, People with guns do.

You said it Niteman. I doubt the adrenaline pumped gunmen would have patiently waited while a citizen fished a firearm out of a purse or pocket Unless that citizen was a better than 99% shot, killing two moving men with guns drawn with head shots would be the stuff of movies. Then after the gunman killed the person shooting at them they probably would have shot the rest of the people in the store and we would be reading about a blood bath. I am a lot more scared of poorly trained people living in fantasy land than I am of the common criminal who just wants to take the money and leave. Shooting a target at a range is very very different than shooting in a panic situation with unpredictable gunmen and innocent citizens in the way. Ask any cop.
