Residents, Communities Urged to Review 'Pedestrian-Friendly' Plan

Residents are encouraged to review the plan, which recommends bike lanes and other pedestrian-friendly changes.

The City Commission approved distribution of the , prepared by the Active Transportation, to be reviewed by neighboring communities for comment.

In a letter to the commission Director of Planning Timothy Thwing said, “The purpose of the plan is to enhance the pedestrian-friendly environment of the city by devising alternative transportation routes and amenities for pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users.”

Commissioner Jim Rasor encouraged residents to review the plan, which recommends roads with bike lanes on various streets throughout the city.
