Storage Facility, Fireworks, Trader Joe's on City Commission Agenda

At their 7:30 p.m. regular meeting at City Hall, Royal Oak officials are expected to discuss a variety of matters.

Storage facility

The Royal Oak City Commission will formally consider a proposal to redevelop the site of a former Burger King and one-story office building into a 675-unit storage facility.

At it's July meeting, the Royal Oak Planning Commission unanimously supported a request to conditionally rezone the property located at 25538 to 25554 Woodward Ave. to make way for a 24,000-square-foot EZ Storage.

The owner of the commercial shopping center at 27844-27942 Woodward Avenue has requested a modification to an existing license agreement to allow the installation of a freezer to the rear of the building.
