Emagine Theater to Screen Royal Oak Student-Produced Videos

More than 25 video and independent film projects will be featured at a free event Sunday.

Some of the best video and filmmaking efforts of Royal Oak High School students will be screened at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Royal Oak Emagine Theater, 200 N. Main.

More than 25 projects will be previewed.

“With many of these student projects recipients of awards or currently nominated for awards, this is truly a showcase of the ‘Best of the Best’ that our students have to offer,” teacher Michael Conrad said.

The projects include independent short films, Royal Oak High School documentaries, promotional videos for the Royal Oak Public Library, public service announcements for the Royal Oak Community Coalition and investigative news reports produced for the PBS News Hour student reporting lab.

Admission is free.
