Keynote speakers are Jocelyn K. Allen, director of regional, grassroots and diversity communications for the General Motors Corporation, and Ayana Jordan, diversity advertising manager for Chevrolet.

The two women are examples of the significantly growing number of African Americans in the business world who are dedicating their careers to educating the public in diversity topics and celebrating the accomplishments of minorities.

In October, 2011, both had the honor of leading the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial dedication in Washington, DC on behalf of General Motors.  The memorial is a striking landscape experience using the natural elements – water, stone and trees – to convey four fundamental and recurring themes of Dr. King’s universal message – democracy, justice, hope and love.

In their presentation they will talk about their role in the project, and why embracing Dr. King’s vision is the key to making our communities stronger and more vibrant.
