Sowing Seeds Workshop

The (DZS) will host the annual “Sowing Seeds” humane education workshop, presented by the Institute for Humane Education at the Ford Education Center at the .

The workshop is designed to train educators to teach critical thinking about social justice, environmental ethics and animal protection to enhance students’ understanding of how their choices impact themselves, other people, other species and the Earth. 

The “Sowing Seeds” workshop is recommended for classroom teachers and community educators, but is also open to students, animal management professionals, animal advocates and other persons interested in humane education. 

The registration fee is $30 and includes breakfast, lunch and the text for the course, The Power & Promise of Humane Education by Zoe Weil.
