Oak Ridge Principal Earns Doctoral Degree

Jason Parrott is awarded Doctorate of Philosophy in Research and Evaluation.

Jason Parrott, Principal of Oak Ridge Elementary School, recently received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Research and Evaluation from Wayne State University.

Parrott, a Royal Oak resident and 1996 graduate of Royal Oak Kimball High School, has been Principal of Oak Ridge Elementary since 2011. He came to Royal Oak in 2009 as Assistant Principal of Royal Oak Middle School. Previously he worked in the Huron Valley School District where he was Dean of Students at Lakeland High School from 2005 to 2009 and Acting Associate Principal in 2006-2007.

He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University with a major in Special Education and Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University.
