Addams Early Childhood Center families got into the holiday spirit on Wednesday with a visit from Mrs. Claus and live reindeer.
"The reindeer are funny," said Clara Bryant, 6. "They eat grass and leaves."
It's true, Prancer and Donder, were munching on a makeshift lawn in the gymnasium of Addams Elementary. The fiber-loving pair also enjoy eating hay, bark and twigs, according to Sam Militello, one of Santa's helpers.
"We don't have a lot of grass at the North Pole so we make special trips to Michigan," Militello said.
In additon to reindeer games, kids enjoyed wearing balloon antlers, eating cookies, and shopping at the Pixie Sale.
Mrs. Claus was also on hand to read stories. She reported Santa's elves are busy putting finishing touches on toys.
