Royal Oak Ford Paves the Way for ROHS Students to Attend Conference

Dealership steps up to help with expenses for trip to Orlando.

A Royal Oak business is helping Royal Oak High School students get to Florida for a leadership conference.

Royal Oak Ford is kicking in $400 to help Khiana Washington, Leslie Seery, Patricia Hill and Josh Elizando attend the Business Professionals of America’s (BPA) National Leader Conference in Orlando this week where some 5,000 other student delegates from across the nation are participating in national level business skills competitions and leadership workshops.

"This is our way of giving back to the community," said Eddie Hall III of Royal Oak Ford. "We want to make a difference."

The dealership has been a good partner with the high school on many levels, including hosting Drive One 4 UR School—an event that raises money for the school when people test drive Ford products. (The next Drive One 4 UR School is scheduled for May 11.)

"This is one of the greatest opportunity these students will have in high school to meet other students and showoff the education they received at Royal Oak High School," said Nada Northey the BPA chapter adviser.
