ROHS Celebrates 100 Years with Hall of Fame, Lip Dub Premiere and More

Tours of the building, vocal and instrumental music presentations, a time capsule installation, refreshments, and information about the many programs available for students will all be a part of this very special celebration of Royal Oak High School.

 

Students, parents, alumni, and members of the community are invited to share in the celebration of Royal Oak High School’s 100th year.

Meet the new the principal, Mike Van Camp, visit the new Hall of Fame and Athletic Hall of Honor installations, watch the premiere of the Royal Oak High School lip dub video and more.

The celebration begins at 4 p.m. Thursday with informal tours of the building led by students. A formal program begins at 5 p.m. and includes the following speakers:

  • Jim Ellison, Mayor of Royal Oak
  • Gary Briggs, President of the Royal Oak Schools Board of Education
  • Deb Anderson, Royal Oak Historical Society
  • Ken Noble,  Royal Oak Hall of Fame
  • Shawn Lewis-Lakin, Superintendent of Schools
  • Mike Van Camp, Principal - Royal Oak High School 2013-14

Refreshments and musical performances are also a part of the evening's festivities.
