Whiz Kid: From the Shrine Fields to Broadcasting

MSU bound Matti Baltrusaitis plans to use her athletic expertise in front of the TV cameras one day.

Cumulative GPA: 3.9

Accomplishments: As a member and captain of the Shrine High School girls varsity cross country, basketball and soccer teams, Baltrusaitis was the recipient of All Catholic awards in each sport. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, serves as  choir president, varsity football team statistician, coach for the Shrine grade school fifth-grade girls basketball team, founder of the Shrine Service Club, Kairos Leader, student director of the Shrine Middle School Choir - Music Connection, math and science tutor, yearbook committee, and a Goliards member (advanced choir).

Key to Awesomeness: Baltrusaitis plans on attending Michigan State University in the fall and was recently selected for the Broad Residential Option for Academic Distinction (BROAD) Freshman Business Program at the university. She plans on majoring in business and communications. Baltrusaitis hopes to one day become a sports broadcaster.
