Key to awesomeness: After Carmen finishes his senior load of classes, he heads over to to work with special education students. "It inspires me because my (younger) brother was special ed and he passed away," Carmen said. The senior mentors 16 students in the program, helping them with homework or whatever the need may be. "Every day is different," he said.
Carmen's college future is undecided at the moment, but he plans to major in either special education or physical therapy. "I feel like if I can continue with special education, I'm already a step ahead of the game," he said.
