Old School BMX Bike Show at Modern Skate

The Royal Oak Modern Skate Park prepares for the 2012 Old School BMX Bike Show, scheduled for Sunday, March 25, from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. All ages are welcome.

Attendees will see a variety of classic bikes on display. Sale tables are available for $15 cash, and setup starts at 4:30 p.m. From 6 to 9 p.m., riders can show off their skills on more than one acre of indoor ramps, rails and riding space for $14 per person. Helmets are required for riding and are available for rental.

Located in the heart of Metro Detroit, Modern Skate Park is a world-class indoor riding facility. The 80,000 sq. foot park was designed and constructed in with help from the world-known skate park builders, Team Pain. The park ranked no. 1 best skate park by Best of Real Detroit in 2010. Membership packages, private and walk-in lessons, protective gear rental and park rental packages are available. Modern Skate Park also houses a concession counter with snacks, drinks and retail accessories.

Home to one of the best wooden bowls on the east coast, this is the best place to show off your skills. Take a dip in the 4,000 sq. foot bowl, work the rails or rock the street course.
