Seniors, Swim for Fun and For Free

Senior citizens, get your swim on! Royal Oak schools has a Winter Evening Recreational Swim Program going on in January and February.

You swim for free with a school district senior citizen gold card available to city residents age 60 and up. Pick up your pass at the Continuing Education Office at Churchill, 707 Girard (north of 12 Mile between Campbell and Rochester).

Royal Oak High School, 1500 Lexington Blvd: Monday evenings, 7:15 pm-8:15 pm.

Royal Oak Middle School, 709 N. Washington: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 8:45 pm-10 pm, adults-only lap lane.

Adults under age 60 are allowed to come by and swim as well, but the cost is $4 per session.

The pool will be closed during Winter Break, Feb. 17.
